Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about clean energy in Nepal, no jargon. Can't find your answer? Our experts are ready to help.
What types of solar systems does Everest Clean Energy install?
We install the full spectrum, from 3 kW residential rooftop systems to 15+ MW utility-scale solar farms. We also do C&I rooftop, off-grid community micro-grids, floating solar, and agri-solar. If it generates clean power, we build it.
How much does a commercial solar system cost in Nepal?
Commercial rooftop solar typically costs NPR 70,000–95,000 per kW installed, depending on system size, roof type, and equipment tier. Use our Solar Savings Calculator for a quick estimate for your specific usage.
What is a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and do I need one?
A BESS stores excess solar energy during the day and releases it at night or during grid outages, giving you 24-hour power independence. If your business operates after dark, has demand peaks, or faces load-shedding, a BESS dramatically increases your solar ROI.
How long does a solar installation project take?
Residential systems (up to 20 kW) take 3–7 days. Commercial rooftop (100 kW–1 MW) takes 4–8 weeks. Utility-scale projects (1 MW+) typically take 6–18 months from feasibility to commissioning.
What warranties and after-sales support do you provide?
We provide a 10-year workmanship warranty, 25-year module performance warranties from Tier-1 manufacturers, and 5–10 year inverter warranties. Our O&M division offers preventive maintenance, SCADA monitoring, and a 4-hour SLA for critical faults.
Does Everest Clean Energy help with government subsidies and financing?
Yes. We have deep expertise in Nepal's renewable energy subsidy schemes and NEA net-metering regulations. We also assist commercial clients in accessing green financing from development banks and international clean energy funds.
Can you supply solar panels and inverters without installation?
Yes. Our Retail & Distribution division supplies Tier-1 solar panels, hybrid inverters, lithium batteries, EV charging hardware, and installation accessories to EPC contractors, sub-dealers, and direct buyers.
What is green hydrogen and is it available in Nepal?
Green hydrogen is produced using clean solar or wind electricity to split water via electrolysis, zero carbon emissions. Everest Clean Energy is pioneering green hydrogen development in Nepal as a future clean fuel for heavy industry and transport.
